'3 films won hearts of Iran families during Nowruz screenings'

Iranian families choose ‘Good, Bad, Flashy’, ‘Patrol 2’ and ‘A Special Day’ among movies for Nowruz screenings, a cinema manager says.

Iranian films ‘Good, Bad, Flashy’, ‘Patrol 2’ and ‘A Special Day’ are three top selections of the country’s families among movies for Nowruz screenings.

Reza Saeedipour, the manager of Azadi Cineplex in Iranian capital city of Tehran told local media on Saturday that such films have been warmly welcomed by Iranian families coming to his cinema to watch movies during Nowruz holidays.

Director Homayoun Asadian’s ‘A Special Day’ features actors such as Farhad Aslani, and Mostafa Zamani as well as actress Parinaz Izadyar. The movie is about a young man and the important decision he must make for his sister’s upcoming surgery.

Starring Pejman Jamshidi and Sam Derakhshani, ‘Good, Bad, Flashy’ narrates the story of a film director who has to use two superstars for his new film against his will.

Director Saeed Soheili’s thriller ‘Patrol 2’ tells the story of three criminals who have decided to live an honorable life.

According to the manager, Iranian movie 'Midday Event' that grabbed most awards at the latest edition of Fajr Film Fest was able to please the audience.

“The audiences knowing what they expect from ‘Midday Event’ leave the cinema hall with gratification,” Saeedipur said.

‘Midday Event’ is directed by Mohammad Hossein Mahdavi and stars Hadi Hejazifar and Ahmad Mehranfar. The dramatic film is based on a true story and details the years after the Islamic Revolution.
